Verständnissproblem: Serielle Schnittstellen zu NT Gast

Hallo,

folgendes versuche ich zu begreifen

Mein Host ist ein XP SP3 mit 2GB auf einem Duo-Core
Das Mainboard (MI 945 RF) hat 4 serielle Schnittstellen OnBoard.
Diese habe ich so konfiguriert, das sie 1:1 zum Gast durchgereicht werden.

Mein Gast-System ist ein Windows NT 4.0, was diese 4 serielle Schnittstellen benötigt.
Wie werden die jetzt richtig Hex und IRQ-mäßig konfiguriert.

Wenn ich die üblichen Verdächtigen nutze (2f8,.... IRQ 3,4,...) funktioniert das irgendwie nicht.

Kann mir mal einer bitte erklären wie die physikalischen COM-Ports an die meiner virtuellen Maschine weitergeleitet werden? Im Bios vom Gast sehe ich auch nur COM1/2.
Im Bios meines Hosts habe ich alle 4 Ports.....

Hiilfe, ich glaube ich bekomme virtuellen Wahnsinn.....

Kann ich die in einem XP-Host auch in der .vmx Datei anwenden ?

Wie gesagt: Ich will nur verstehen wie die Com-Einstellungen in NT4 als Gast gemacht werden. Ich möchte sie mit HEX und IRQ kontrollieren können.

Mit COM1 komme ich ja noch klar, aber der Rest zeigt Standard.
Momentan läuft es mit Standard, sobald man aber etwas im Feld ändert, gibt es kein Standard mehr und ich muß den Hex und IRQ angeben.

du musst die port einstellungen schon in der vmx machen - im NT GUI das wird nicht viel nuetzen glaube ich

wie gesagt - poste mal ein log wo du mit den einstellungen experimentierst - vielleicht faellt mir dann was auf
