NIC Teaming Frage/Problem bei iSCSI mit Open-E

Hallo Zusammen,

Folgende Situation:

1x Open-E Server als iSCSI Target mit 4x NICs (je 2x an 2x unterschiedliche Cisco Switches)
2x ESX Server mit je 2x onboard NICs (je 1x an 1x unterschiedliche DellBlade Switches)
Die DellBlade Switches hängen wiederum an den Cisco Switchen

Jetzt bekomm ich haufenweise Fehlermeldungen vom iSCSI Target:
data_out_start(1032) unable to find scsi task 7a244 33ef

Diese Meldung erscheint wenn der Traffic enorm hoch ist. Ist jedoch nicht der fall weil nur 1x Test VM ohne User drauf ist. Diese Meldung kann auch bei Problemen mit dem NIC Teaming entstehen. Eingestellt ist balance-rr.

Bevor ich jetzt einfach durch wildes rumprobieren die Fehlermeldungen weg bekomme, interessiert mich natürlich was ihr so eingestellt habt.

Bonding modes:
balance-rr
Transmissions are received and sent out sequentially on each bonded slave
interface. This mode provides fault tolerance and load balancing.
active-backup
Only one slave in the bond is active. Another bonded slave interface is only
used if the active bonded slave interface fails. This mode provides fault
tolerance.
balance-xor
Transmission is based on the following equation: [(the source MAC address
XOR'd with the destination MAC address) modulo (slave count)]. This selects
the same slave for each destination MAC address. This mode provides fault
tolerance and load balancing.
broadcast
Transmits everything on all slave interfaces. This mode provides fault
tolerance.
802.3ad
IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic link aggregation. Creates aggregation groups that
share the same speed and duplex settings. Utilizes all slaves in the active
aggregator according to the 802.3ad specification. Requires a switch that
supports IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic link aggregation.
balance-tlb
Channel bonding that does not require any special switch support. The
outgoing traffic is distributed according to the current load (computed relative
to speed) on each slave. Incoming traffic is received by the current slave. If
the receiving slave fails, another slave takes over the MAC address of the
failed receiving slave. This mode provides fault tolerance and load balancing.

Wo hast du das Bonding eingestellt? Löse das Bonding auf und häng eine NIC an den VMkernel Port für iSCSI. Dann schau mal nach, ob der Fehler immer noch auftritt.

konnte das problem finden. das leigt an den switchen. ich muss alle nics auf einen switch hängen. wenn die nics auf mehrer switches verteilt sind kommen die switche durcheinander
