Hallo,

nach einem Update startet bei mir die lokale Console nicht mehr.
Das Script vmware-config.pl habe ich nun oft ausgeführt und ich vermute, fehlerfrei.

wie es aussieht, hast Du nicht den geforderten C-Compiler, sondern einen Nachfolger(/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.3.1 statt 4.1.3), daraufhin fragt das Script, ob Du weitermachen willst, was Du offensichtlich mit nein beantwortet hast. Ergebnis: Bearbeitung abgebrochen! (Do you want to go with compiler "/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.3.1" anyway? [no]

In der Regel ist es kein Problem, mit einer späteren Version des gcc VMware zu compilieren, hat zumindest bei mir bis jetzt immer funktioniert, also noch einen Durchlauf starten und nicht immer nur "Enter" drücken sondern obige Frage mit "yes" antworten.

Du hast recht, das Script wurde oben nicht richtig bearbeitet. Ich hatte allerdings auch schon oft wie Du richtig schreibst die Frage mit "Ja" beantwortet und den Compiler vorher auf eine andere Version geändert.
