Program crash only in VMWare WS

we have a strange Problem, and we are a Company making Medical Software, delivering this Software including Hardware if required to hospitals.

The Problem is, that snce the latest Version of one specific module, this module crashes in VM Ware WS only. If started on the host, the program causes no issues.

Based on Procmon I would say something goes wrong with Oracle (our Software uses an Oracle DB in the Background.) But we cannot narrow it down, OCI 24550 is the last Thing Procmon Shows.

Putting back the previous release, the Problem vanishes, however not much interesting has been done in the Oracle / SQL area codewise.

Has anyone had similar eperiences ?

Yes. There definitely are problems that only arise under Hypervisors and not on metal.

Under ESXi 5.5 a passthrough-USB-drive in Debian Wheezy stopped working after one specific Debian kernel update. Downgrading the kernel worked but finally the USB-drive had to be connected in another way. Physical Debian servers do not show this behavior.
