seit jahren benutze ich vmware server problemlos mit debian.
heute treibt mich ein problem zum wahnsinn...
asus p5q board mit 8gb ram und Core2Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
debian lenny mit kernel 2.6.26-2-amd64
VMware-server-2.0.2-203138.x86_64.tar.gz
patch für vsock/vmci
alle filesysteme mit dmcrypt verschlüsselt.
die vm hat eine eigene datenplatte (für die virtual disk files).
erst schien es, als liefe alles normal.
ich konnte eine vm erstellen und windows xp 32bit darauf installieren.
beim installieren der vmware tools blieb windows plötzlich stehn.
beim genaueren nachsehn, war die ganze vm aus der prozessliste verschwunden.
damit nicht genug. seither wirft der kernel mit bugs um sich, sobald ich nach dem booten versuche, auf die webkonsole zuzugreifen.
hat jemand tips oder gar abhilfe für mich?
