Konvertierte VM nur abgesicherter Modus

Hallo :)
Verzweifelt sein habe ich mir abgewöhnt, aber es is schon eine doofe Geschichte:

Bei einem Kunden ist der Exchange-Server zu virtualisieren. Also, Exchange-Dienste beendet, mit dem Konverter remote auf einen ESXi 4.0.0 164009 konvertiert.
Lief ohne Probleme, außer dass er am Anfang sagte es dauert 2h, er dann aber recht schnell bei 80% war und dann 1,5 Stunden lang sagte, dass es noch 5 - 10 Minuten bräuchte.
War aber dann letzt endlich erfolgreich.

Jetzt zum Problem:
Booten geht leider nicht.
Boot-Screen -> Blue-Screen:
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x000063FC, 0xFT8A24D2, 0x00000000)

Im abgesicherten Modus fährt er hoch. Auch mit Netzwerktreibern.
Habe schon Folgendes versucht:
- VMware SCSi Treiber per Hand installieren
- Alle möglichen Geräte aus dem Geräte-Manager deinstallieren
- Regedit -> CurrentContolset001\Services -> Alles was unnötig schien "Start = 4"
- Windows CD -> CHKDSK -R
- Windows Reperatur-Installation
- VMware Tools kann ich im abgesicherten Modus nicht installieren

System-Infos:
Host: ESXi 4.0.0
Gast: Windows 2003 Server -> SCSi Controller auf LSI Logic
C: Partition wurde um ca. 4 GB verkleinert.
D: Partition wurde um ca. 50 GB verkleinert.
Nichts mit SysPrep geändert.

Ich habe mal irgendwo im Netz eine 3er ConverterCD gefunden, aber die hat bisher nicht 1x mal funktioniert.
Und für selbst bauen fehlt mir das Verständnis und die Zeit mich da allzu lange einzulesen.
Zudem kann ich mir schöneres Vorstellen, als Nachts beim Kunden im Serverraum zu sitzen, wenn man es auch anders hinbekommt. Hat bei anderen Kunden schließlich auch schon problemlos funktioniert.
Die Konvertierung selbst ist meines Erachtens (hoffentlich) nicht die Fehlerquelle, sonst könnte ich die VM ja nicht im abgesicherten Modus starten, behaupte ich jetzt mal.

Auch das habe ich schon getan :)
Wenn ich auf BUS-Logic gehe, kann ich lustiger Weise im Safe Mode die VMware SCSi Treiber einbinden.
Auf LSI kann ich das nicht, da nimmt der seine Windows Treiber.
Ich suche mal ob ich dedizierte LSI Vmware trieber finde.

Kann es sein, daß dein Gast einfach keinen freien Diskplatz mehr hat. Win-Gäste verhalten sich bisweilen sehr unproduktiv und kommen mit den unsinnigsten Fehlermeldungen, wenn die Boot-Partition voll ist.

Nutzt du eigentlich Symantec-Produkte (Sym Corp Ed etc.)? Ich finde für den Fehler in Google unter 2003 0x0000008E (0xC0000005 viele Einträge dazu genauso wie für Rootkits...

Ja, Backup Exec wird als Sicherungssoftware genutzt.

Ich teste das mal, mit der HDD Größe --> Möp, ist noch massig Platz für beide Partitionen.
Achso und die boot.ini ist auch ok, verweist auf die richtige Partiotion und steht auf "multi".

Vielleicht sollte ich den Server heute Nacht nochmal konvertieren, diesemal ohne Festplattengrößen-Anpassung.

boot mal in BartPE und guck mit ServicesPE nach welche Treiber geladen werden - ist mit Sicherheit noch etwas dabei was nur fuer die alte Hardware taugt

Irgendwie klappt das mit meiner PE noch nicht so ganz, muss mich da noch ein wenig durchkämpfen. Er erkennt meine Festplatte noch nicht. Ich schau mir das mal näher an.

Zum Verzweifeln...

Habe mir eine MOA gemacht, ServicePE ist mit drin, und nachgeschaut, da steht sehr viel. Also habe ich mal auf gut Glück einiges deaktiviert, sowohl Dienste als auch Treiber. Ohne Erfolg.

Nachdem ich wieder alles wie am Anfang habe, weil's ja nicht geklappt hat, habe ich hier mal einen Screenshot zusammen geklebt, indem man alle Geräte/Treiber sieht, die nicht manuell oder deaktiviert sind.

SCSI Karte ist auf LSI.

Kein Plan was rein muss und was raus gehört. Vor allem soll der Server danach wieder produktiv arbeiten.

Ich werde dem Kollegen nochmals vorschlagen einfach einen neuen Server aufzusetzen. Nichts desto trotz will ich wissen wie ich die VM reparieren kann. Ich gebe nicht gerne auf.
