Bekomme die Tools nicht Guest OS (Suse Linux)

Hallo Leute,

ich bekomme es nicht gebacken die Tools auf das Guest OS (Suse Línux 9). Also Host OS läuft Win XP HE.

-Linux läuft ohne Problme
-habe die vmware-tools282.tar.gz unter KDE 3.1 vom CD-ROM ins /tmp/ Kopiert
- habe dort das Archiv mit einem "rechten" Mausklick entpackt
- habe die Konsole gestartet und bin ins entpackte tools Verzeichnis
- dort habe ich die vmware-install.pl augefürt.

Ich bekomme die Meldung:
bash: vmware-install.pl: comand not found

In der Readme steht:
Installing the VMware Linux Tools
---------------------------------

1. Downloading VMware Linux Tools:

Since you are reading this, you may already have the VMware
Linux Tools tar file and have unpacked it. If not, it can
be found at http://www.vmware.com.


2. Installing VMware Linux Tools:

After downloading the file, unpack it:

tar xzf vmware-linux-tools.tar.gz

Go to the vmware-linux-tools directory:

cd vmware-linux-tools

Become root: --> WAS IST DAS FÜR EIN BEFEHL WIE KANN ICH DEN AUSFÜHREN?

su

Run the install script: --> Warum den install.pl ????

./install.pl
