Gutes neues Jahr allen!

Ich möchte VMWare Server installierten und bin dabei auf folgendes Problem gestoßen:

root@LinuxUbuntu:/home/ich# /home/ich/vmware/vmware-server-distrib/v mware-install.pl

In which directory do you want to install the binary files?
[/usr/bin]

What is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to rc6.d/)?
[/etc]

What is the directory that contains the init scripts?
[/etc/init.d]

Unable to copy the source file ./installer/services.sh to the destination file
/etc/init.d/vmware.

Execution aborted.

Das Problem wurde hier schon einmal behandelt http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/48135/. Leider ist mein Problem mit den dort gegebenen Tips nicht zu lösen gewesen.

Wer weiß noch Rat?

Hallo,
neueste Version nutzen und any-any Patch mal ansehen. Links zu dem Patch stehen hier massig.
Prüf auch, ob /etc/init.d existiert und ob die Rechte passen.
