Hallo zusammen

Ich will auf einem PC mit installiertem Debian Etch VMWare installieren.

Jedoch kommt nun beim installieren von VMWare folgende Fehlermeldung:

Scheint irgendein Problem mit Perl zu sein. Hat jemand eine Ahnung was es (genau) sein könnte?

Such mal im Internet, ob es da einen any-any Patch gibt.
Link = ftp://ftp.cvut.cz/vmware
Für die älteren VMWare Produkte war unter neueren Linuxen immer sowas nötig.

Habe jetzt einmal den patch vmware-any-any-update104 installiert. Jedoch bricht er jetzt bei der configuration von vmware noch früher ab. Und zwar so:

Wahrscheinlich kann man den Patch nicht so einfach wieder entfernen?

Habe nun ubuntu server version als hostsystem installiert. Dies funktioniert nun einwandfrei.

Nur komisch: Ubuntu basiert ja auf debian, aber beim "normalen" debian erkannte es meine harddisk nicht, nur bei der etch version. Mit ubuntu ging es jedoch.
