Hallo,

habe als Hostsystem: Win2003ent R2 64Bit

Nun wollte ich eine VM erstellen, doch leider gelingt mir das ganze nicht.
Wenn ich den Button Finish (beim Wizard) drücke kommt die ErrorMeldung:

The handle is invalid

Leider kann ich mit dieser Meldung kaum etwas anfangen.


Achja wollte ein Win2003ent SP1 als VM installieren.

Oeffne mal ein cmd und tippe

net start vmauthdservice
net start vmserverdwin32

Geht das glatt?

Sind diese Pfade in der registry korrekt eingerichtet?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ProgramFilesDir
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ProgramFilesPath
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CommonFilesDir

Ist das Netzwerk gestartet?

Hab das Problem gefunden.

War / bin per Terminalsession drauf. Und da gibt es ein Problem mit den 64Bit Servern.

f you are using terminal services you can connect to the console on a W2K3 box by creating an rdp file for the connection (click Options -> 'Save As' in the remote desktop dialog) and adding a line to end of the file (using notepad):

connect to console:i:1

Double click on the rdp file and it will connect to the console session. You should be able to create virtual machines through that session.
