Zeitdifferenz mehrere Stunden am Tag trotz vmware-tools

Hallo Forum,
meine config:
GSX Server 3.1 auf Host Suse 9.1 Kernel 2.6.108
auf Proliant Server mit 8 GB Ram und 2 x3Ghz XEON Proz.
Guestsystem Suse 9.1 Kernel 2.6.108
vmware-tools installiert.
Zeitsyncronisation mit Host aktiviert.
wenn ich in der toolbox die zeitsyncronsiation deaktiviere und aktiviere wird die Zeit ordnungsgemäß synchronisiert.
läuft jedoch pro Minute etwa 10 sec. hinterher.
verschiedene Ansatzpunkte ausprobiert, z.B. mit
Guestsystem und Hostsystem ntpdate -v alle 10min via crontab.
bin am verzweifeln, da Kerberos sonst nicht funzt.
Jemand ähnlich Erfahrungen und einen Lösungsvorschlag ?
Mache ich bezüglich der toolbox was falsch ?
