Bart PE ISO (Win2k/XP) hat keinen Zugriff auf NTFS/VMDK

Hallo,

aufgrund einer Reparatur eines Windows 2000 adv. Server, wird Zugriff auf dessen NTFS Partition benötigt.

Keine der als CD ISO gebooteten 'Bart PE' CDs erkannte (trotz ASPI Treibern) die Platten. Das VMDK mit dem Win2k Server wird von einem GSX 3.0 Server unter Debian bereitgestellt.

Kann jemand bestaetigen, dass weder die aktuelle UBCD4win (Bart PE) noch die original Bart PE als CD ISO gebootet, HDs (NTFS Filesystem) eines Win2k adv. Servers in einer VMDK entdeckt bzw. den Zugriff auf diese ermöglicht?

It finally works !

A month ago I had almost given up - 2 months of running against a wall and I still was not able to introduce the "_vmware_user_" pseudo NT-acount that I needed to actually start a VM. Now I know it was worth the time.
The trick was simply to export the SAM-hive at the right time and to merge it into BartPE at the right time...

I am lazy ...

when it comes to finishing a work after the challenge is gone and so it is possible that I prefer to work on my X2Y-converter in the next weeks. If you are interested in getting a VMware 4.5.2 plugin soon you may have to remind me to keep working on it..
