Hallo,

ich versuche gerade das System auf Geschwindigkeit zu optimieren.
Sollte ich dabei von Bus Logic auf LSI wechseln? Ist das ohne weiteres bei Windows XP möglich?

Bei XP kommst du mit LSI nicht weit, schon die Inst scheitert mangels Treiber. Die F6-vmscsi-FloppyDisk und die VMware-Tools sind auch keine Hilfe, sie enthalten keine XP-Treiber.

GSX Server or ESX Server: If you are using the virtual LSI Logic SCSI adapter, you must download the driver from the download center at the LSI Logic Web site. Go to http://www.lsi.com/cm/DownloadSearch.do and download for the LSI20320-R SCSI adapter driver for your guest operating system.
