Fehlermeldung beim Start von Convertierter Maschine

Hallo zusammen,
habe einen Rechner mit 3 Partitionen, mit dem FreeWare Converter von VMW habe ich eine VM von der C Platte erstellt. Versuche ich nun diese VM im VMW Player zu starten erhalte ich eine Fehlermeldung und das System kommt nicht hoch.

VMware Player unrecoverable error: (vmx)
Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation) has occurred.
Log files bla,bla,bla…

An den Support von only kostenlos Tools glaube ich nicht wirklich

Kennt jemand das Problem? Tipps?

Ps: btw ich sehe hier keinen finanziellen Nutzen für VM, da beide Tools kostenlos sind, zumindest wenn es funktionieren würde. Wo ist mein Denkfehler?

ich hab mir einen neuen PC zugelegt und meinen alten über P2V am Leben gelassen
Auf meinen Laptop (XP - SP2) mit VMware Player 2.0, läuft alles super.

Mein PC( gleiche Software Ausstattung) mit einem C2D E6750 lässt sich die VM nicht starten:

dann folgt noch eine MSG-Box mit :
Error while powering on: Cannot find a valid peer process to connect to

Die VMX hab ich neu erstellt mit dem VMX-Builder: http://petruska.stardock.net/Software/VMware.html

Auf der kb.vmware.com hab ich nicht wirklich was finden können.
Kann ich Parameter für die CPU übergeben?

PS: Es ist empfehlenswert die vmx so schlank wie möglich an den Start zu schicken...
