USB wird nicht erkannt in GUEST WIN7

Hallo
ich ganz neu im Thema VMplayer und habe folgendes Problem:
HOST: Win7 64bit , VM player 6
GUEST Win7
wenn ich z.B. ein USB Stick in den HOST PC stecke wird er zwar vom VM erkannt und erscheint ein ausgerautes Symbol oben in der Leiste, wenn dannauch " Connect" drücke kommt die Meldung "die Verbindung war erfolglos".
die Gleiche VM läuft problemlos auf einem Win8.1

Verlinke mal das ungekürzte "vmware.log" auf einen Freehoster. In diesem Log sollte die fehlschlagende Verbindung auch verzeichnet sein.
Das du den Player mal per Rechtklick und "Ausführen als Admin" gestartet hast, setz ich jetzt mal voraus.

Was ist an dem Stick bzw dem USB-Anschluß besonderes, USB2.0-Gerät am USB3.0-Anschluß oder herstellerspezifischer Treiber für den Stick erforderlich?
Auch noch interessant wäre der Chipsatz des USB-Ports zu wissen. Entweder wird USB mit über den MB-Chipsatz oder einen Zusatzchip angebunden.

An dem Stick ist nichts besonders, ich wollte nur mal den USB - Anschluss testen, weil der USB - Adapter für Siemens Profibus nicht funktionierte.
Eine Software ist für den Stick nicht erforderlich.
Bei USB Anschluss bin ich mir nicht sicher ob der direkt auf dem MS-Chipsatz sitz, anbei mal der Link zum Bild vom Gerätemanager, vllt hilft es dir was.

Wenn du im Gerätemanager nach Anschluß sortierst, solltest du sehen, an welchem Port der Stick hängt und welcher USB-Controller involviert ist.
