nachfolgendes zur Info für diejenigen, die sich mit dem Gedanken tragen, Virtual Center für den GSX Server zum Einsatz zu bringen:

VMware is pleased to announce a final update to the VirtualCenter 1.1 beta program:
we are close to finishing the product development cycle and have produced a VirtualCenter release candidate to coincide with the recent GSX 3.1 release candidate.
Major feature enhancements to VirtualCenter 1.1 include:
* Support for VMware GSX Server (management and provisioning operations).
* A web service interface to allow users and 3rd party software products to leverage the capabilities provided by VirtualCenter.
* Scalability & performance enhancements to the Management Server.
* Additional database support for Oracle 9i.
* Enhanced remote browsing capabilities for connecting an ISO file to a virtual CD-ROM.
* Single-port management operations for better integration with firewalls.
* Usability improvements such as restructuring the Task & Event interfaces & removing the long UUID tags from filenames.
