Hallo,
ich habe folgendes Problem. Wir setzten eine VMWare Infrastructur 3 mit dem VirtualCenter 2.0 ein.

Eigentlich läuft alles wunderbar, allerdings haben ich festgestellt das der Dienst regelmäßig zwischen 18:20 Uhr und 19:55 Uhr ausfällt.

Der Eventlog meines Windows 2003 Server gibt folgende Meldung aus:

Information:
The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( VMware VirtualCenter Server ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Starting VMware VirtualCenter 2.0.2 build-50618.

Anschließend

Error:

Das ganze geht dann im 5 Minuten Rythmus, bis 19:55 Uhr.

Würde mich über eine schnelle Anwort sehr freuen.

Hallo,

schau doch mal im TEMP Verzeichnis nach der vpxd.log Datei. Da sollte die tatsächliche Ursache des Problems stehen. Wahrscheinlich wird dort die Datenbankverbindung als Fehlerhaft oder die Datenbank als nicht erreichbar stehen.

Du hast mit deiner Anwort Recht gehabt. Die zuständige Datenbank wird in diesem Zeitraum für eine Sicherung runtergefahren.
