hi,
as far as i know you can map a virtual disk as a drive in vmware workstation 6.

-> file -> map or disconnect virtualdisks -> map -> select "*.vmdk"

it works with windows xp but not with windows vista because it says:

"this disk file has no volumes.
Please select another disk file"

could you please help me??

thanks!

Hi there
this is a know issue with Vista vmdks.

Don't know if this a VMware-bug or a "Vista feature" ;-)

ANyway - try to map the disk with Ken Katos vdk.exe instead - I had better results with vdk than with the builtin map-function.

vdk.exe > first match in google
