VMWare 4.5.2 + Debian Sarge: Mauszeiger versetzt /XFree Prob

Hallo,

ich habe schon nach einer Antwort im Archiv gesucht aber leider nichts gefunden. Ich benutze Debian Sarge in VMWare 4.5.2. Die VMWare Tools sind installiert.

Ich habe das merkwürdige Problem, dass wenn ich VMWare Tools benutze die Maus super funktioniert, allerdings ist der Klick von der Position des Mauszeigers um 10-20 Pixel versetzt, was es nahezu unmöglich macht Text zu markieren. Ausserdem funktioniert das Mauswheel nicht.

Wenn ich anstelle der Tools den Vesa Treiber benutze ist die Maus präzise positioniert, allerdings so ruckelig, dass das Arbeiten auch nicht wirklich angehm ist.

Das Problem tritt sowohl mit dem 2.4er als auch dem 2.6er Kernel auf. Kann mir jemand helfen bei dem es funktioniert, bzw. seine XFree86-Config-4 file mailen. Vielen Dank, ich sitze da schon seit Tagen dran und brauche das System zum arbeiten.

hi,
sollte das ein problem mit debian sein, also nicht mit vmware, bist du wahrscheinlich im falschen forum.
aber vielleicht ist das auch egal:
wichtig wären erstmal daten zu deiner hardware (graka, maus und so), um helfen zu können. ansonsten, was benutzt du - kde, gnome oder etwas anderes.
deine XF86Config-4 kannst du auch über

konfigurieren (einfach alles aufmerksam durchgehen).

Ich glaube eher nicht, dass es ein Problem mit Debian ist. Hatte sowas schonmal mit Suse 9.1 auf VirtualPC auf einer anderen Maschine :/

Danke für den Tipp mit dpkg-reconfigure, das habe ich auch schon versucht.

an der glx Option liegt es nicht (schon ausprobiert). Ich bnutze IceWM aber mit Gnome, KDE, etc. tritt das gleiche Problem auf. Also ein X Problem. Maus ist eine Logitech Pilot Maus, Graka nVidia Geforce 6200.

Naja, ich dachtedie Hardware ist ja eigentlich virtualisiert, also im gleichen VMware Build sollte der Linux Guest doch auch eigentlich immer die gleiche (virtuelle) VM Hardware sehen, oder?
