SCSI unter VMware 4.5.2 - SuSE 9.2

Ich verwende Suse 9.2 als host und Windows XP als guest.
Unter Suse 9.1 hatte ich einen SCSI-Scanner unter XP eingebunden. Nach dem Update auf 9.2 gelingt mir das nicht mehr. Auch nach Zuteilung von Schreibrechten auf sg0 erhalte ich die Meldung:
Virtual device scsi0:0: Unable to determine the SCSI device type of
host device "/dev/sg0". Please make sure the device is properly
connected, powered on and configured correctly in the host.
Da der Scanner (Canon DR2080C) nicht von Linux unterstützt wird, kann ich die Konfiguration nicht überprüfen; In der Hardware-Information wird der Scanner korrekt erkannt.
Hat jemand einen Tipp?
