Absturz beim Ausführen von vmware-vmx.exe

Hallo,
Ende Januar hab ich VMWare 4.0 (6030) auf XP Prof installiert. Das Programm lief tadelos und ich konnte verschiedene Maschinen erstellen. Diese liefen auch einwandfrei. Eine Woche lang hatte ich anschließend VMWare nicht mehr gestartet.
Beim letzten Start passierte folgendes. VMware startet normal. Möchte ich dann aber irgeneine der alten Maschinen starten, bricht vmware-vmx.exe mit folgender Meldung ab:

Hab dann das Programm komplett deinstalliert und neu installiert, hat aber nicht geholfen. Das Problem kam aus heiterem Himmel.
Was kann ich da noch tun? Er sucht scheinbar nach einer vmxui.dll. Die find ich aber nirgends.
Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen.
